Overview

Executive Summary

Tech Housing Society in Lahore is one of ASG Systems Pakistan’s early e-tag projects for a residential society. In 2013, ASG installed e-tag vehicle access, a visitor lane and pedestrian security at the society gate.

Residents’ vehicles are let in automatically, while visitors and people on foot are checked at their own points.

The brief

The Challenge

The society wanted its gate to tell residents from outsiders without slowing anyone down.

  1. Guards relied on memory and stickers to recognise residents’ cars.
  2. Residents waited behind visitors at the barrier.
  3. There was no proper record of who came in.
  4. Foot traffic used the gate without control.

What we delivered

The Solution: E-Tag Gate with Separate Visitor and Pedestrian Points

ASG Systems Pakistan replaced sight-based checks with automatic e-tag identification and separate routes for visitors and pedestrians.

Component 01

E-Tag Vehicle Access

A small e-tag on each resident’s vehicle is read automatically at the gate, and the barrier opens.

Component 02

Visitor Lane

Visitors are routed into their own lane to be checked by security.

Component 03

Pedestrian Security

A controlled pedestrian point keeps foot traffic under the same watch as vehicles.

How we did it

Implementation Approach

  1. 1Survey of the gate and traffic patterns.
  2. 2Installation of e-tag readers and barriers.
  3. 3Setting up the visitor lane.
  4. 4Installation of pedestrian security.
  5. 5Testing and training for security staff.

Outcome

Results & Impact

Residents in faster, outsiders checked properly.

  • Resident vehicles recognised by e-tag instead of by sight.
  • No more residents waiting behind visitors.
  • Visitors and pedestrians checked at their own points.
  • A more organised, professional gate.
