Overview
Executive Summary
Nishat Emporium Mall & Hotel is a large, mixed-use retail and hospitality development in Lahore, combining a shopping mall with an adjoining hotel tower under one complex. A site of this kind brings together several distinct types of vehicle traffic—shopper parking, hotel guest arrivals, and service access—all needing to be managed without one flow interfering with another.
ASG Systems Pakistan was engaged as the solutions and service provider responsible for planning, supplying, and installing a parking access control system across the complex, working with technology partner Centurion to deploy automatic boom barriers at every vehicle entry and exit point—from basement parking zones to the hotel’s own driveway.
The brief
The Challenge
As a combined mall-and-hotel development, Nishat Emporium needed vehicle access control that could serve very different users across the same site:
- Manage high-volume shopper parking across multiple basement zones without creating bottlenecks at peak mall hours.
- Give the hotel its own controlled, welcoming vehicle entry separate from general mall parking traffic.
- Control the outdoor mall gate as a distinct access point from the basement parking structure.
- Deploy a barrier system reliable enough for continuous, high-frequency daily use across a busy commercial complex.
What we delivered
The Solution: Zoned Barrier Control Across the Complex
ASG Systems Pakistan installed Centurion automatic boom barriers at each distinct vehicle access point across the Nishat Emporium complex, so that mall parking, hotel arrivals, and the outdoor gate could each be managed on their own terms.

Component 01
Outdoor Mall Gate
At the mall’s outdoor vehicle gate, a Centurion barrier with an integrated red/green signal light controls entry from the street, clearly separated from the basement parking checkpoints inside.

Component 02
Hotel Driveway Entrance
The hotel’s own guest driveway has a dedicated Centurion barrier, giving the hotel a controlled, separate vehicle entrance distinct from general mall parking—appropriate for a hospitality arrival experience.

Component 03
Mall Parking Entrance & Zone Wayfinding
At the main mall parking entrance, a Centurion barrier is paired with overhead wayfinding signage directing drivers toward the hotel or mall parking zones, with staff on hand to assist during peak hours.

Component 04
Basement Mall Parking — Zone G3
A Centurion barrier controls entry into Zone G3 of the mall’s basement parking, giving staff a clear, signal-guided checkpoint for shoppers moving between parking levels and the mall’s retail and dining areas.

Component 05
Basement Mall Parking — Zone B1
A second Centurion barrier manages the Zone B1 basement parking level, keeping the same standardized checkpoint experience consistent across every level of the mall’s parking structure.
Partners
Technology Partner: Centurion
To equip every vehicle access point across the complex with dependable, high-frequency-use hardware, ASG Systems Pakistan partnered with Centurion as the technology and equipment partner for the project. This ensured a consistent standard of automatic boom barrier across all zones—basement parking, the outdoor mall gate, and the hotel driveway—backed by manufacturer-level product support.
How we did it
Implementation Approach
- 1Site survey across the mall’s basement parking levels, outdoor gate, and hotel driveway to plan barrier placement and traffic flow.
- 2Procurement and staging of Centurion automatic boom barriers for each distinct access zone.
- 3Civil and electrical works for barrier foundations, power, and signal light integration at each checkpoint.
- 4Installation, calibration, and functional testing of every barrier across the complex.
- 5Coordination with mall and hotel operations staff for a smooth handover and go-live in 2021.
Outcome
Results & Impact
The completed installation gave Nishat Emporium Mall & Hotel a consistent, zoned parking access control system across the full complex:
- Controlled vehicle entry and exit across multiple basement parking zones, with a consistent checkpoint standard at each.
- A dedicated, separate vehicle entrance for hotel guests, distinct from general mall parking traffic.
- A clearly controlled outdoor mall gate, separated from the basement parking structure.
- A dependable, Centurion-backed barrier system suited to continuous daily use across a high-traffic mixed-use complex.
FAQs
Frequently Asked Questions
