Allama Iqbal International Airport is Lahore’s primary international gateway, handling a high volume of vehicle traffic across its terminal approach roads and parking facilities every day. In 2017, the airport needed an integrated system to manage vehicle access, guide drivers to available parking, and secure its perimeter—at the scale of a major international airport.
ASG Systems Pakistan was engaged as the solutions and service provider responsible for planning, supplying, and installing road blockers, traffic barriers, a parking guidance system, a 3,500-car parking management system, and perimeter chain-link fencing, working with technology partners Centurion, ParkEyes, Aventura, and Nemtek.

The Challenge
As Lahore’s main international airport, the site needed vehicle access and parking infrastructure that could handle continuous, high-volume traffic across multiple entry points and a large parking capacity. Security planning needed to address several requirements at once:
- Manage vehicle entry and exit across multiple checkpoints without creating congestion during peak flight schedules.
- Guide drivers efficiently to available spaces across a parking facility of roughly 3,500 cars.
- Provide a hard vehicle-denial option at key checkpoints, beyond standard boom barriers.
- Secure the airport perimeter with a dependable fencing system suited to a high-security aviation site.

The Solution: Barriers, Blockers, Parking Management & Perimeter Security
ASG Systems Pakistan designed and installed an integrated vehicle access and parking system at Allama Iqbal International Airport, built around four components.
Component 01
Traffic Barriers & Road Blockers
Eight automatic traffic barriers, supplied by Centurion, were installed to manage routine vehicle flow at checkpoints, paired with four heavy-duty road blockers—ASG’s own branded units—providing a hard, physical stop option at key access points.
Component 02
Parking Guidance System
A parking guidance system, using sensors supplied by ParkEyes, was installed to indicate space availability in real time—helping drivers find open spots quickly across the large parking facility, shown here by the sensor’s green (available) indicator light.
Component 03
Parking Management System (3,500 Cars)
A full parking management system was installed across the facility’s roughly 3,500 parking spaces, including entry/exit ticketing and payment kiosks, so the airport could manage capacity, ticketing, and payment at scale.
Component 04
CCTV & Perimeter Security
CCTV camera equipment supplied by Aventura was deployed to monitor the parking facility and checkpoints, backed by dedicated network infrastructure, while chain-link perimeter fencing supplied by Nemtek secured the airport boundary.
How we did it
Implementation Approach

- 3Civil and electrical works for barrier and blocker foundations, sensor wiring, and network cabling for the parking management system.
- 4Installation and commissioning of all 8 traffic barriers, 4 road blockers, guidance sensors, and payment kiosks across the parking facility.
- 5Perimeter fencing installation and CCTV integration with the airport’s network infrastructure.
- 6Coordination with airport operations staff for a smooth handover and go-live in 2017.
